The open workshops are open year-round from Monday through Saturday ! The historic premises of the Académie de la Grande Chaumière are now closed.
All of the Academy's activities are currently held at 2 rue Jules Chaplain (6th arrondissement—Vavin or Notre-Dame-des-Champs metro stations) until we move into our new location.
- Open workshops—no reservation required. Doors open 30 minutes before each session. It can get crowded on some days, so please plan to arrive early.
- Once the session has begun, you will no longer be able to enter the workshops.
- All exits are final.
- Drawing supplies are not provided.

One model is used for 3 to 4 sessions, which is how long it takes to build a clay piece. Saddle pads are available.

No, except for thesculptingworkshop (advance registration and payment are required). For all other workshops, just show up on the day of the workshop and pay on site.
Doors open30 minutes beforethe start of each session. Once the session has begun, you will not be able to enter the workshops. For safety reasons,once you leave, you will not be allowed back in. Since it may get crowded, please plan to arrive early.
