Throughout the year, the Académie de la Grande Chaumière offers workshops on life drawing and other topics—including portraiture, life drawing, drawing, and painting—for all ages!                                                        

These workshops are led by experienced artists, some of whom were personally selected by you.

Portrait Workshop with a Live Model: From Drawing to Painting.

> soft charcoal (mignonette)

> B or 2B charcoal pencil

> a white pastel pencil (Faber-Castell)

> A3 sketchpad

> B-grade graphite pencil

> a black Tombow marker (2 tips)

> breadcrumb eraser

> plastic eraser (e.g., Staedler)

> a sheet of Canson paper in hemp or lichen color (or equivalent) and a white one

> pocket mirror

> a utility knife

> a few colored oil pastels (Sennelier primary colors, for example)

> a few tubes of paint: cadmium yellow, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, cadmium red, alizarin lac, emerald green, ultramarine blue, burnt umber, black, white

> a canvas or canvas-backed board in 8F size (46/38 cm)—in any case, not too small

>> Prepare a base coat using "BEIGE ROSÉ" acrylic paint 

> an odorless thinner (not turpentine, but Gamsol or Sennelier thinner)

> a palette 

> paper towels

> a container for the thinner

> a container for brushes in use

    Once the session has begun, you will no longer be able to enter the workshops,
