Reopening of the Plaster Hall at the Bourdelle Museum
Extensive interior restoration work began over a year ago on the Bourdelle Museum’s iconic Hall of Plaster Casts, restoring this unique museum space to its former glory.
Formerly a life-drawing studio, the Hall de Plâtres is a historic space that houses major works by Bourdelle and offers insight into his creative journey and the evolution of sculpture.
Trained at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, Bourdelle found inspiration there to develop his unique style, which blends tradition and innovation. The Hall of Plaster Casts, which he designed for his students, is a living legacy of his teaching.
